Sharp MX-M264N
The Sharp MX-M264N is a 26 ppm A3 monochrome MFP from Sharp's earlier generation, sold today mostly as refurbished hardware for small offices and back-office teams doing 2,000 to 5,500 B&W pages a month. It supports 26 ppm at 1200 x 1200 dpi, 11 x 17, duplex print and scan, the older Sharp panel, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and optional Wi-Fi. The thing buyers regret: at this volume class and refurb price, the MX-M264N looks attractive, but consumable cost per page is higher than current gen and panel support for modern apps is limited. Over 4 years the consumable gap can erase the buy-side savings — sometimes the refurb ends up costing more in toner than a new machine would in toner plus the price difference. Run a 4-year toner total against a new MX-M2630 before signing. If the refurb is exceptionally cheap and your dealer commits to toner pricing, fine; otherwise the current MX-M2630 is the better long-term economics.
