Sharp MX-6051
The Sharp MX-6051 is the 60 ppm A3 color MFP from Sharp's mid-cycle generation — newer than the MX-6050 family but older than the current MX-6071. Common today as a refurbished workgroup machine for departments doing 15,000 to 28,000 mixed pages a month. It runs 60 ppm color and B&W, supports 11 x 17, has duplex print and scan, and uses an early Android-based panel rather than the legacy OSA. Connectivity covers Gigabit Ethernet, USB, optional Wi-Fi, AirPrint, and Mopria. The thing buyers regret: the in-between generation gets caught in pricing limbo — too new to be cheap, too old to win a five-year cost battle against a new MX-6071. Buy this only when the refurb gap to a new MX-6071 is at least 30 percent. With that gap, it is a strong machine; without it, the new model wins on parts and panel.
