Sharp BP-50M36

The Sharp BP-50M36 is the mid-range 36-ppm monochrome A3 multifunction in Sharp's Essentials Series, sized for workgroups of 20-40 people printing 4,000-9,000 pages a month. It copies and prints 36 ppm on letter, scans up to 80 ipm mono/color through the standard 100-sheet reversing single-pass feeder, and ships with a 550-sheet drawer plus 100-sheet bypass for 650 sheets standard, expandable to 6,300 across optional drawers and the BP-LC10 3,000-sheet LCC. Print resolution is 1,200 x 1,200 dpi; platen first-copy drops to 4.6 sec — meaningfully faster off the glass than the M26 or M31. The 10.1-inch tilting color touchscreen is the same UI used across the entire BP-50M and BP-50C line — one driver, one user training, one toner family across speeds from 26 to 65 ppm and across mono and color. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus dual USB 3.0 standard; Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) via the optional BP-EB10 adapter. Native Universal Print, Microsoft Teams scan-to-folder, OneDrive, Box, and Dropbox are all in the base controller. The thing buyers regret: speccing the M36 for a 12,000-page office because it was cheaper than the M45 — toner economics get ugly above 10,000 pages a month.
