Every spec, no guessing
The Sharp MX-C607P is a 60-ppm desktop color laser printer for workgroups of 15-30 people that need in-house color at true 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, room to scale capacity to 4,500 sheets, and optional finishing — without paying for MFP scan/copy hardware. It runs PCL 6 and PostScript 3, prints letter and legal (no 11x17), and pulls from a 550-sheet drawer plus a 100-sheet bypass standard (650 sheets total), expandable to 4,500 sheets via the optional MX-CS19 2,200-sheet drawer plus up to three MX-CS16 550-sheet feed units. First print is 7.0 seconds in either color or mono. The 4.3-inch color touchscreen handles print preview and direct print of BMP, DCX, DOC/DOCX, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PDF, PNG, PPT/PPTX, TIFF, XLS/XLSX, and XPS via FTP, SMB, web page, email, and the front USB host port. Auto duplex is standard. Wired interface is Gigabit Ethernet plus dual USB 2.0 host ports; 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi is optional. Memory is 1 GB standard, 3 GB max. AirPrint and Android print framework are standard. The optional MX-FN37 finisher adds 300-sheet stapling. Footprint is 22 x 20.6 x 21.12 inches at 137 lb — needs a real desk or stand. Color toners are MX-C55TC/M/Y, black is MX-C55TB. The thing buyers regret: not budgeting the finisher when they need stapled output. The MX-FN37 is the cleanest way to skip an MFP without losing finishing.
