Sharp MX-M564N
The Sharp MX-M564N is a 56 ppm A3 monochrome MFP from Sharp's earlier generation, sold today refurbished for small offices and workgroups doing 12,000 to 24,000 B&W pages a month. It supports 56 ppm at 1200 x 1200 dpi, 11 x 17, duplex print and scan, the older Sharp panel, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and optional Wi-Fi. The thing buyers regret: at 56 ppm with refurb pricing, the MX-M564N looks like a deal — but lifetime page counts on this class of refurb are often north of 2.5M and the panel cannot run modern cloud apps. Always pull the meter and add 4 years of consumable cost. If the refurb price is 40 percent or more below a new MX-M6071 (closest current match) and the meter is under 2.5 million, this earns its keep for a department; otherwise step up to current generation for the longer parts runway.
