Sharp MX-M464N
The Sharp MX-M464N is a 46 ppm A3 monochrome MFP from Sharp's earlier generation, sold today refurbished for small offices and workgroups doing 8,000 to 18,000 B&W pages a month. It supports 46 ppm at 1200 x 1200 dpi, 11 x 17, duplex print and scan, the older Sharp panel, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and optional Wi-Fi. The thing buyers regret: at 46 ppm with refurb pricing, the MX-M464N looks like a bargain — but the older toner platform costs more per page than current MX-M5071 toner, and a 4-year toner cost gap of 1,000 to 1,800 dollars can erase the buy-side savings on a typical 12,000-page-a-month office. Run the math against your actual volume. If your refurb price is 35 percent or more below a new MX-M5071 (the current closest match), this works; otherwise the new model wins on cost over time.
