Sharp MX-M2651
The Sharp MX-M2651 is a 26 ppm A3 monochrome MFP from Sharp's mid-cycle generation — newer than the MX-M264N, older than the current MX-M2630. Sold today as refurbished or off-lease hardware for small offices doing 2,500 to 6,000 B&W pages a month. It supports 26 ppm at 1200 x 1200 dpi, 11 x 17, duplex print and scan, an early Android-based panel, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, optional Wi-Fi, AirPrint, and Mopria. The thing buyers regret: pricing for the in-between generation gets awkward — too new to be cheap, too old to win on a 5-year cost basis vs the current MX-M2630. Buy this only when the refurb spread is at least 30 percent and the meter is under 1.2 million pages. With that gap and a service contract, this is a strong machine that gets you a recent Android panel cheap; without it, the new model is the better bet on parts pipeline and resale value.
