Sharp MX-6240N
The Sharp MX-6240N is a 62 ppm A3 color production-class MFP from Sharp's earlier generation, sold today refurbished for in-house print rooms, marketing departments, and busy workgroups doing 25,000 to 50,000 mixed pages a month. It runs 62 ppm color and B&W, supports 11 x 17, has duplex print and scan, and uses the legacy OSA panel. Connectivity covers Gigabit Ethernet and USB with optional Wi-Fi. The thing buyers regret: production-class refurbs come with high lifetime page counts more often than not — anything over 2.5 million on this class is a yellow flag, over 4 million a red flag. Always pull the meter before signing. With a low-meter unit and a real service contract that covers fuser and drum, this is a strong production-light box; with a high-meter unit, the next 18 months can be brutal on service calls.
