Sharp MX-4141N

The Sharp MX-4141N is a sibling to the MX-4140N — same 41 ppm A3 color engine, slightly different controller and finisher options, sold today mostly refurbished. It runs 41 ppm color and B&W, handles 11 x 17, supports duplex print and scan, and uses the pre-Android OSA touchscreen. Volume target is 5,000 to 13,000 mixed pages a month for small offices, satellite branches, and lightly used workgroup spots that need A3 color without buying new. The thing buyers regret: the differences between MX-4140N and MX-4141N are small enough that buyers often pay extra for the 4141N expecting big upgrades and find the day-to-day experience nearly identical. Compare the two side-by-side and pick on price and parts availability rather than model number. As refurbished kit, this is a sound choice if your dealer stocks toner; as a new purchase, the current MX-4071 is the better long-term bet.
