Sharp MX-3050V

The Sharp MX-3050V is a floor-standing A3 color laser multifunction in Sharp's Essentials V (2020) lineup, built for offices of 10-40 people that need in-house tabloid (11x17) and 12x18 color, plus heavier scanning than a desktop MFP can keep up with. It prints and copies at 30 ppm in both black and color, scans through a 100-sheet reversing single-pass RSPF (80 ipm mono / 41 ipm color via RSPF), and is rated for a 200,000-page monthly duty cycle (Sharp recommends staying around 3,000-8,000 pages/month for sane toner economics). Standard paper capacity is 650 sheets across one 550-sheet drawer plus a 100-sheet bypass; you can expand to 6,300 sheets with the optional MX-DE25N/26N/27N stands or the MX-LC17N 3,000-sheet large-capacity cassette. The 10.1 inches color touchscreen handles the usual scan-to-network, document-filing, and Sharp OSA app workflows, and Wi-Fi is an optional MX-EB18 adapter on this configuration. The thing it does better than peers in this speed class is the RSPF that flips each sheet to scan side B — slower than the DSPF on Sharp's Advanced models, but reliable and cheaper to service. The thing buyers regret is the dealer-only supply chain: MX-60NTxA/MX-61NTxA toner sets and drums come from your Sharp dealer, not Amazon, so expect 1-3 day lead times rather than next-day Prime. Standard out-of-box: print, copy, color network scan, auto duplex; fax (MX-FX15) and Internet fax (MX-FWX1L) are dealer add-ons.
