Sharp MX-M904

The Sharp MX-M904 is a 90 ppm monochrome production multifunction — the kind of machine print shops, in-plant operations, and high-volume back offices buy when their previous copier couldn't keep up. Resolution is 1200x1200 dpi, the device handles A3 ledger work natively, and the 150-sheet duplex single-pass feeder keeps the scan engine fed. Paper capacity stretches well past 6,000 sheets with the optional high-capacity feeders, and finishing options cover staple, saddle-stitch booklet, fold, and large stackers. Volume sweet spot is 150,000 to 300,000 mono pages a month. Toner is high-yield and cost-per-page is genuinely low when you run the device hard. The thing buyers regret: this is older Sharp hardware. Firmware updates are slowing down, finding service techs who still know the platform takes work, and parts are getting harder to source. If you can find one off-lease at a good price and you have a service contract from a dealer who stocks parts, it's a tank. Buying new in 2026 is the wrong move — look at the M905 or current Sharp production line instead.
