The Sharp MX-7040N is a 70 ppm A3 color production-class MFP from Sharp's earlier production line, sold today refurbished for centralized print rooms and busy in-house production zones doing 35,000 to 75,000 pages a month. It runs 70 ppm color and B&W, supports 11 x 17 and heavier media, has duplex print and scan, and ships with the legacy panel. Networking covers Gigabit Ethernet and USB. The thing buyers regret: at 70 ppm with production-class duty, refurb meters tell the whole story — a unit with under 2.5M is great value, one over 5M is months away from major service. Always pull the meter and the service log. The MX-7040N earns its keep when paired with a low meter and a service contract that covers fuser and drum; without that pairing, the savings on the buy turn into a service bill that wipes them out.
