The Sharp MX-5050V is the variant of the MX-5050N with the V configuration — different baseline trim, often a different finisher option, but the same 50 ppm A3 color engine. Sold mostly today as refurbished hardware for small offices and busier workgroups handling 10,000 to 22,000 mixed pages a month. It supports 50 ppm color and B&W, 11 x 17 output, duplex print and scan, OSA panel, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and optional Wi-Fi. The thing buyers regret: confusing the V and N model numbers — they are not interchangeable for service quotes or finisher upgrades, and quoting the wrong one can cost you the right finisher. Always confirm the suffix when ordering parts. If you go in clear-eyed on the suffix, the MX-5050V is a competent off-lease A3 color MFP for offices that want capability over the latest panel. New-purchase shoppers should consider the MX-5071 instead.
